Mark Valley Noooooo!

So today my chances of being made into an honest woman just decreased quite a bit. I’ve just learned that Keen Eddie got married to some broad who isn’t me. Oh, you don’t know who Keen Eddie is? Who are you, the greater portion of the population?
Keen Eddie was a fantastic, smart, fast-paced gem of a show that was canceled unceremoniously by Fox after only six episodes. Yes, Fox. Don’t hate. Sometimes they’ve got more to offer than snarky British talent judges. They used to have snarky British commonfolk, as evidenced by this awesome show, which was probably canceled because it wasn’t a. crude enough b. American enough and c. Two and a Half Men. The show starred a pre-homewrecker Sienna Miller and my dear, darling Mark Valley as Eddie himself. The two had impressive chemistry, which gave the show much of its juice. Don’t believe me? Why wouldn’t you believe me?! Fine. Check out one of the many reasons I fell in love with the man who has just broken my heart.
If you don’t know the show but think you know the man, you’ve probably seen Days of Our Lives (he played Jack Deveraux #2), Boston Legal (underused uptight lawyer #2) and/or Fringe (extremely underused alive-then-dead-then-alive-again-then dead-for-good agent). And yes, haters, he is exactly twice my age, which, maturity-wise, is, like, perfect, as I’ve always, mentally, been about 44. If only my dear friend Sheda, who spotted him at Grand Central Station a few months back (and immediately texted “I just saw Ken Doll”) hadn’t scared him away by pointing and whispering “is that…?” several times.
So, just in time for dreaded V-day, Shibow’s heart breaks just a little more.
