Knight Rider Nostalgia

When they came out with the new Knight Rider (on Fox? I think it was Fox. It has to be Fox), I was really disappointed that they didn’t get William Daniels, AKA Mr. Feeny of Boy Meets World fame, do do the voice. After all, it would make perfect sense to have the new Michael Knight and the same voice.

While I admit that I didn’t fire up the TV in my closet to actually check out this tribute, I’m betting is was forgettable, as anything rehashing a beloved icon that wasn’t actually technically that great in the first place is bound to be. (see new Star Wars movies, Sargent Bilco, Herbie Fully Loaded, The New Testament)

Luckily, for those who love the soothing sounds of the fine actor at left, all is not lost. Thanks to enterprising company MIO, gadget and nostalgio freaks can buy a GPS that actually features his voice, and a cool Knight Rider decal.  Crunchgear has a great review.
